Organizations

Organizations are the top-level container for projects, flags, and team members.

Overview

An organization is the top-level grouping in Switchflag. Everything — projects, environments, flags, and team members — belongs to an organization.

Limits

  • Each user can create up to 5 organizations
  • Organization names must be unique

Roles

Every member has one of three roles:

RoleDescription
OwnerFull access. Can manage members, delete the organization, and perform all admin actions.
AdminCan manage projects, flags, environments, and settings. Cannot delete the organization or manage the owner role.
MemberRead-only access to projects and flags.

The user who creates an organization is automatically the owner.

Team management

Invite team members from the organization Settings page. Invitations are sent by email and expire after 48 hours. See Invitations for details.

Switching organizations

If you belong to multiple organizations, you can switch between them from the organization selector in the dashboard sidebar. Your active organization determines which projects and flags you see.
